There are a large number of blunders that can occur in VEMP testing. See this page for a partial list.
The plot below (from a different laboratory than our own), shows an error in "peak picking". VEMP's do not exist with this long a latency. This 80 year old patient simply did not have a VEMP. This recording portrays noise.
