ADR Data Recovery http://www.adrdatarecovery.com/

This company indicates that they specialize in recovery of damaged hard disk drives. I had a very unsatisfactory interaction with them. I emailed them up and said I had a damaged hard drive. I told them that the drive was not on site.

About 30 minutes after getting off the phone, a courier showed up to pick up the damaged drive (which was not there). So - -lesson #1 -- ADR Data Recovery doesn't communicate among themselves.

Next, I asked the contact for this group -- Terri, who indicates that she is an ADR Data Recovery Advisor (whatever that is), for a rate sheet. She responded by sending me an email that could not be read. The part that supposedly showed the prices, didn't display.

So, next I asked for a Fax. The fax came, documenting that ADR has very high prices -- basically $750 if success of any type. I thought that this was too high.

Nevertheless, before I had a chance to "just say no", another courier showed up and this time did pick up the damaged drive.

Next -- I tried to get the drive back. ADR seems to be much slower at returning other people's property than obtaining it. They told me that I could "stop over" sometime before 4:30 and pick it up. So - -they send a courier to take my drive, and they want me to "pick it up" going the other way. Terri did not give me an address for the local pickup -- I suppose Terri may not even know.

BOTTOM LINE -- My experience with ADR Data Recovery suggests that they are disorganized, very expensive, and have poor customer service.
